    Schick GT5

Received this 2 weeks ago. Today I "returned" it to wal-mart and got a $65 wal-mart gift card, so $45 of that will be going towards the Midi Adapter for this RB3 Guitar win...

    Nice win.

Mind explaining the process on how you managed to get a walmart giftcard? You just told them that you didn't have the receipt or what?

Oh, and I'm just going to leave this here

Yeah i just walked in and made sure the old woman at the door put a sticker on it so that they know I didn't steal it from their store (which i used to do lol). Then I went to customer service and told them I bought it months ago but I got it for PS3 and I meant to get it for 360 (although it doesn't even exist for 360). So they ask you for your drivers license to swipe it (and keep a record of how many returns you do w/o receipts) and the manager authorizes it. So it's your choice, either get full value + tax in walmart money, or sell it for cheaper on craigslist....

Oh and if you want, you can try to convert the GC into cash. I did it by accident a couple years ago but I don't know if the customer service rep screwed up. I got a copy of rock band + guitar for christmas but i already had it, so I returned it to walmart without the receipt because my sister bought it for only $45 on a website yet walmart credited me with $80 on a gift card. So i bought an external hard drive and paid the $20 difference after using the gift card. Then i found the hard drive on newegg.com for much cheaper so ordered it there, and returned the other hdd to walmart expecting to get a $80 and $20 in cash but he gave me the entire $100 in cash. Sooooo it's a worth a shot if you're willing to do all the work, but I basically got a RB3 combo for cheap, returned it to walmart and converted it to $80 cash vs. it's $45 purchase price
