    "tofujerk" scammer/shady individual!

Link to profile: View Profile: tofujerk - BottingForce

I purchased NFLShop gift cards from tofujerk via Paypal. I paid him as a personal gift payment. I then used the gift card e-codes he gave me to purchase physical gift cards to consolidate the many codes and to prevent him from using the gift cards I bought.

A few days later the NFL gift cards he gave me were invalidated. This caused NFLshop to trace them to my gift cards and invalidate them aswell. I called NFLShop and I was transfered to a gift card specialist(or whatever they are called), he said the gift cards would never work and assumed I attained them through illegitimate means.

Tofujerk refused to issue a refund because he sold me cards "that worked for a little while"..

Tofujerk was not the only individual I bought gift cards off of, however, he was the only one to refuse me a refund. I was unsuccessful in claiming back the money through paypal because as I stated earlier I paid as a gift. I have called Paypal more than once and they say there is nothing they can do.

I have compiled his Name, Family Members Names, Address, Phone, e-mail addresses & IP addresses..

    Let the opinions roll in

We all understand the risks of buying giftcards like these. Unless you asked beforehand if he would refund if they were inactivated, then he shouldn't have to refund you.

I bought some from him as well and haven't asked for a refund; I won't.

I've known tofujerk for over a year now(maybe longer) While yes; he is very outspoken and crazy at times, he is not a scammer. I have also dealt with him via paypal as well and never had problems. This is unfortunately the risk you take when buying these kinds of items, imo.

I did not give you a refund because you used the codes. Our deal was for me to sell you working, valid codes. I did that. You used them to place an order. If you had returned the codes to me, unused, then I would have refunded your money.

The codes were sold as-is. There was no discussion about what to do if something like this happened. And you refused to listen to my side of it, demanding that I refund your money or you would file a paypal claim against me. That ruined any shot at reaching a mutual resolution. You then proceeded to lie in the paypal claim, saying that I sold you invalid/used cards, and that you tried contacting me but I would not respond to you. Eventually paypal sided in my favor. One of the reasons being "The listing accurately described the item the buyer received."

The day you lost the paypal dispute, you sent me this message:

The form will be filed tomorrow (2/2/2012), I would leave the funds in your paypal or your account will go into the negative...as paypal as no choice but to pay regardless if you have funds available..

It only gets worse for you from this point on...there will most likely be extra fees associated with this invesigation that are on you to pay..
So you threatened me with another, more serious dispute, and still wonder why I won't refund you. The things you've done because you refuse to believe that you are in the wrong are disgusting. And now you're even threatening me and my family directly?

I consider Tofu a friend and I've done business with him a number of times with no complaints or problems. From what he's told me about all this, you come off looking like a douchebag. The thinly veiled threat you make by saying you have his family's information just reinforces that.

Codes were NOT sold "as is". This was not said in the trade, just as I forgot to say "is there a refund if they become invalid?"...

The paypal dispute was won by you ONLY because I sent it as a gift. I confirmed this with a claim specialist the day I lost the claim. I did not lie. Thats how the claim specialist opened the claim, his exact words to me were " I went to bat for you, even though this is a gift payment".....

these tactics are only because you will not refund me...I keep hearing "but you wont hear my side of the story", wtf is it?

I have been buying NFLshop gift cards for over a year now, thousands in trades..

this is the first time this has happened, if I thought there was risk to me, I would not have traded..

There should have been some kind of agreement made as to what would happen if they were invalidated. Because there wasn't any and the codes worked when they were sold, I don't think the seller should have to refund the buyer in this case. But it's up to the seller.

its all about ****ing good word and trust. He paid for codes that he could USE. They worked THEN but they failed to work when it all counted. The RIGHT thing to do would be at LEAST partial refund. Use your brain.

What's the problem here? Based on what I see I'm entirely in favor of Tofujerk. It should be clear as to why. Also, if you want a refund, you don't be an *** by threatening to use his family and personal information over a small matter like this. There are ways to resolve this, but this is just not the way to do it. Just my 2 cents.

I obviously tried simply asking for a refund and he refused...I am at my last resort...

this has been going on since like 1/13...
